Futureproof on-shore power supply in the port of Duisburg

With our on-shore power and the CUSTOMERCARD from Stadtwerke Duisburg, you can easily charge your vessel as an inland skipper. And with certified green electricity to boot! There are currently six of these supply points available in the port area, and these will be further expanded to provide power to the majority of berths by 2025. Stadtwerke Duisburg is your competent contact for queries regarding electricity billing and is responsible for the smooth operation of the on-shore power connections. Authentication is easy with your personal CUSTOMERCARD, which you can use to purchase your green electricity via the supply points.

spontaneous charging without a CUSTOMERCARD

Spontaneous customers also have the opportunity to conveniently use the shore power infrastructure of Stadtwerke Duisburg.

Via the shore power app, inland waterway skippers receive a clear and fast overview of all available shore power connections – both in their immediate vicinity and specifically through the search function within a particular port.

After selecting the desired connection point, navigation to the berth can be started directly from the app. Once on site, the power supply can be easily activated via the app. Billing is transparent and straightforward, for example by credit card.

This enables inland waterway operators to benefit from a flexible, digital, and continuously available shore power solution – independent of an existing electricity supply contract.
